A typical counseling session at Mindful Solutions Counseling Collective lasts for 50 minutes, although some sessions may be longer or shorter depending on your needs and preferences. The first initial evaluation session typically lasts 30 to 45 minutes.


Telehealth allows you to meet with your therapist through a secure video platform from the comfort of your own home—or anywhere you feel safe and at ease. It offers the same level of privacy, professionalism, and care you’d expect in an office, without the added stress of travel, time constraints, or geographic barriers.

Mindful Solutions Counseling Collective offers a variety of counseling services including individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and group therapy.


During your first session with Mindful Solutions Counseling Collective, your therapist will ask you questions to get to know you better and understand what brings you to counseling. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the counseling process.


Preparing for your first Telehealth session is simple and meant to help you feel relaxed and ready to focus on yourself. Find a quiet, comfortable space where you can speak freely without distractions. Many clients choose a private room, a parked car, or even a cozy corner with headphones—whatever helps you feel most at ease.

Before your session, check that your device’s camera and microphone are working, and make sure you have a reliable internet connection. You’ll receive a secure link before each appointment—just click to join at your scheduled time.

Most importantly, come as you are. Therapy is a space to be yourself, without judgment or pressure. At Mindful Solutions Counseling Collective, we handle the logistics so you can focus on what truly matters: your well-being, growth, and the supportive connection you’ll build with your therapist.

Yes, we are in network with most major insurance plans throughout NY, NJ and CT including Aetna, BCBS, United Healthcare, Cigna, Oxford/Optum, Anthem, Carelon Behavioral Health and others. Reach out to the office regarding your specific plan.


Additionally, the office does prepare superbills on behalf of clients for reimbursement for out of network benefits, which is designed to reduce unnecessary stress contacting your insurance for a seamless integration into therapy.

Cancellations happen and we completely understand that life happens. We kindly ask if you need to cancel that you reach out 24 hours or more to allow for any clients that may be on a waitlist to be scheduled. Any cancellations within 24 hours are subject to the late cancellation fee outlined in the office policy forms completed during intake.
